beyond partnership - short term missions

Get Involved - Special Projects - Summer Internships

beyond partnershipThe summer intern program is designed for college students and young adults.  It is a two month program where the participants live with and work alongside of the very poor in Central America.

The goal of the summer intern program is to give the participants a view of Christ and the world from the perspective of the poor and the oppressed.  It is our hope that it will lead them to ministry among and to the poor.

The internship starts with two weeks of tutorial Spanish classes in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala.

beyond partnershipThey will work with successful national ministers who work with the very poor both in urban and rural settings.  They will participate in activities such as construction, deaf ministry, youth ministry, and tutoring.  All travel in country will be done on busses as the poor would do it.  A bilingual Beyond Partnership staff will be with them at all times to guide them, challenge them, and take care of their safety.

Their time will close with a time of debriefing with Beyond Partnership staff.

In the past, some universities have given college credit to students involved in this program.  Check with your university to see if you qualify for this credit.  We will work with you to fulfill the requirements.
