Q- Where do we begin?
A- We have regional team leaders and representatives that are here to talk to beyond partnership - fayou and walk you through the process.  Our representatives are available to provide you with more detailed and specific information regarding other questions you may have.  You can contact us at info@beyondpartnership.org, or more preferably, you can call us at 303.889.9676.

Q- Who should go?
A- Our projects are designed so that anyone of good health can participate.  All we ask is that you have a humble attitude, be flexible and ready to learn.

Q- What should be the makeup of the team?             
A- Our typical team size is 15-20 people, but we can go as low as 10 and as high as 30 on special occasions.  We are not looking for construction professionals, just a willingness to do whatever the national contractors ask us to do.  We work with mixed groups of all ages as well as youth groups.

Q- What resources do you provide for team preparation?
beyond partnership - faA- When teams are signed up to go on a project,we offer a variety ofresources to them including manuals for team leaders, team members, vacation bible school preparation, etc.  Each of the manuals include detailed information so you will know exactly how to prepare for the upcoming trip. Also included will be an on-site visit by a Beyond Partnership team leader or representative.  He or she will be able to answer any questions or concerns that you, your leadership, or team members may have regarding the trip.

Q- How long do trips last?
A- A typical trip lasts 12 days (including travel time).  We can accommodate ministries that desire to do a shorter trip if necessary.

Q- What is a typical day like?
A- Each project is distinct, but here is a general framework for daily activities.  Please note that often there are additional activities such as church services in which the teams participate.  Also remember that flexibility is the key to going on any project.

9:00 – 4:00   construction work, meal preparation
12:30 lunch
2:30 – 4:00 children’s program
4:00 clean up and leave for hotel
6:00 dinner
8:00 team time, free time, or special activities

Q- Is there a time for shopping and tourism?
A- We provide 2 days of rest and reflection giving team members time to visit some of the local markets and to see some of the faqmost famous and spectacular sites that each country has to offer.

Q- What precautions are taken to ensure that teams will be safe?
A- Here are a few ways that we ensure your safety. 
  1. Risk Assessments on each country where teams are sent are done on a regular basis.  The director has had training in Risk                                 Assessment Analysis.
  2. Beyond Partnership staff is with the team at all times to make sure that everything is done for the safety of the team.
  3. All of Beyond Partnership staff has cells phone in each country. Telephone numbers will be provided to the team and church where they can call home in cases of emergency and can receive calls in case of emergencies at home.
  4. We always stay in hotels that are known to be clean and safe.
Q- What health precautions are taken?
A- Here are a few ways that we look out for your healthiness while on the team.
  1. Beyond Partnership provides Traveler’s insurance for all team members.  This covers medical cost on the project and medical evacuation if necessary.  A copy of the policy will be provided for the team leader or anyone that request it.
  2. Beyond Partnership requires vaccinations of all team members according to the requirements set by the Center for Disease Control.
  3. Purified bottle water is provided at all times and used in all cooking preparations.
  4. There is a Beyond Partnership staff to oversee food preparation on the site.  They make sure that everything is prepared to the highest standers of hygiene possible.
  5. The site is always in close proximity to medical care.  We know the medical care in the area and always provide the best medical care available.

faqQ- How much does it cost?
A- The price is based on length of project, location, and size of team.  There are a wide variety of factors that will influence your price.  Our costs are lower than most organizations for the amount of services provided.  This is because none of our staff are paid through the projects costs.  Each member of the staff raises their own support.  Please contact us so that we are able to give you specific information and costs regarding the dynamics of your team.

Q- Is this trip tax deductible?
A- Beyond Partnership is the short term ministry of Missions Door.  Mission's door is a 501 c3 non-profit organization. All expenses are tax deductible according to IRS regulations.
