Brief Summary

Cambodia is located in Southeast Asia.  It borders Thailand to the North, and Vietnam to the East. Cambodia’s long history of poverty ranks it among the poorest nations on the earth with 34% of the population living on less than $1 per day. Cambodia also has a long history of violence. From 1975 to 1979, under the Pol Pot regime, up to 3 million Cambodians were killed by torture and genocide. The country still has yet to recover.

National Ministry

Beyond Partnership began working with indigenous church leaders in 2001. Our goal there is to provide the buildings for the indigenous, autonomous church dedicated to ministering to the poorest of the Cambodians. We have seen the rural church buildings, only accessible by ox cart become more than just a Sunday gathering place. They become the centers of the community or village and many people find hope. The majority of these churches are also continuing to plant new churches in outlying villages where people were traveling for miles to hear the Good News of Jesus Christ.
